Loksabha MP Navjot Singh Sidhu inaugurated the project on Monday.
The Amritsar Municipal Corporation has signed an agreement with Antony Waste Handling Cell, Mumbai for the first phase of the solid waste project.
Speaking on the occasion MP Navjot Sidhu stated that stated that the project costs Rs 81.24 crore, out of which 50 per cent will be financed by the Centre, 20 percent by the state government, and 30 percent by the Municipal Corporation.
