Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Non functioning of the Instrument landing system (ILS) at Chandigarh airport has made all flights to and fro the city been cancelled, for the last six days.

Chandigarh (Mera Chandigarh): The Non functioning of the Instrument landing system (ILS) at Chandigarh airport has made all flights to and fro the city been cancelled, for the last six days.

Information and confirmation to this effect was made by Suneel Dutt, Director of Airports Authority of India (AAI) that Instrument landing system (ILS) at Chandigarh airport is out of order for over last six months forcing flights to cancel.

It is to mention that adjoining Indian Air Force air strip has its Instrument landing system (ILS) meant for Security forces and for VVIPs landing.
